    Dear Parents,


    CRY (Child Rights and You) is conducting a “Story Book Drive” to encourage and inculcate the habit of reading among the underprivileged children.

     

     

    Students are requested to donate one storybook (not a text book) each in any language for this purpose. Please note that the story book may be old but in a good condition.

    The story books should be submitted to the class teacher between 13th June and 15th June, 2017.

    Classes XI - XII

    Dear Parents,

    We will be organizing a trip to Sri Lanka during the Puja Vacation for the students of Classes XI and XII.  The trip is expected to be for 5 nights and 6 days and will cost Rs.55,000/- (approx.). The travel agent we are coordinating with is Travel Aid.

    You are requested to make a deposit of Rs.10,000/- as Registration through Pay Order / Demand Draft made in favour of “Sushila Birla Girls’ School” by Friday 5th May 2017.

    The  details are being worked out and the itinerary for the same will be given in due course.

     We request you to kindly sign and send the permission slip.

    Although it had been notified earlier that Saturday 6th May 2017, would be a working day, Classes VI to XII will now remain suspended on that day,  in order to enable preparation for the CBSE conducted NEET Examination scheduled to be held on Sunday 7th May 2017, for which our school is a centre.

    Dear Parent,

    We are sending you a list of articles that will be needed for your daughter’s Art Classes. Please arrange to procure them during the Summer Vacations at your convenience and keep them at home. They are to be sent to school when asked for by the Art Teacher.

    • Class I                       1 dozen ice cream sticks (Not ice cream spoons)

                                       2 pairs of googly eyes (medium size)

                                       4 pcs straw (thick)

                                       1 roll, one fourth inch ribbon any colour

                                       1 brush (No. 12)

                                       1 small white cotton roll

                                       1 packet square size Fabriano sheets (Multicolours)

                                       1 earthen Diya  (size – 3 inches long)

     

    • Class II                      1 packet A4 size Fabriano sheets (Multicolour)

                                        1 Quilling kit with quilling pen or needle (Quilling strips should be of 5mm width)

                                       3 packets of Plush Iron Wire (Multicolour)

                                       1 box poster colours (set of 6)

                                       Brush No. ‘6’ and No. ‘12’ (1 each)

     

    • Class III                     1 packet A4 size Fabriano sheets (Multicolour)

                                       Quilling strips of 5mm width (Red, Yellow, Green Orange, White, Brown and Blue). Each Colour- 1 Packet

                                       Envelope – size 16 cm x 8 cm – any colour of your choice (1 packet – 10 pcs.)

                                       1 earthen pot, height 18cm

                                       2 masking tapes (Width one and half inches or two inches)

                                       1 white Mount Board

                                       1 roll one fourth inch ribbon of any colour.

     

    • Class IV                    1 packet A4 size Fabriano sheets (Multicolour).

                                       1 earthen plate or “Shora”, diameter 28 cm

                                       1 White Mount Board

                                       2 masking tapes (Width one and half inches or two inches)

                                       Quilling strips of 5mm width (Red, Yellow, Green Orange, White, Brown and  Blue). Each colour- 1 Packet

     

    • Class V                    1 packet A4 size Fabriano sheets (Multicolour).

                                     1 set glass painting colours (set of 6)

                                     3 masking tapes (width one and half inch or two inches)

                                     2 pcs. White Mount Board

                                     Quilling strips of 5mm width (Red, Yellow, Green Orange, White, Brown and Blue).  Each colour- 1 Packet

                                     4 A4 size OHP sheets

     

    If students have any of the above items leftover from the last academic session, they may use the same.

    Classes VI – XII

    Dear Parents,

    This is to inform you that the school is organizing an inter school Music and Dance competition, KOBIPRONAM, to pay tribute to Rabindranath Tagore on Friday, 5th May 2017.

    Students must attend school according to the schedule given below :-

    Classes VI, VII, VIII & IX         -           9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

    Classes X, XI and XII              -           12:00 noon to 3:30 p.m.

    Please note that although normal classes will be suspended on that day, attendance is compulsory for all the students.
