Namah Boutique

8 students from Class XI studying Fashion Studies/ Home Science attended an internship programme at Namah Boutique from 3.06.2024 to 8.06.2024. The activities took place mostly at the workshop adjacent to the boutique and at times in the boutique itself. The highlights of the programme were: Identifying fabrics; exploring “mood-board” which gave insights to its importance in creating seasonal and trendy styles; draping a mannequin and estimation of the amount of fabric required for various designs; observing the boutique owner, Ms. Monica Singh’s interaction with her clients to understand their requirements; understanding the basic concept of pattern making and the importance of taking correct body measurements for a well-fitted garment and creating digital content for advertising various fashion styles available at the boutique.

Khaitan & Co.

Five students from Class XII with Legal Studies as one of their subjects, attended a shadowship programme at Khaitan & Co. from 20.05.2024 to 24.05.2024. The students were given a tour of the various departments and interaction with the business, finance, data privacy, real estate and other corporate lawyers; meeting with professionals from the direct and indirect taxation departments; receiving suggestions from the experts on how to ace their preparations for CLAT; learning about the basics of litigation,shadowing lawyers and observing court proceedings at the High Court.

Future Hope NGO

10 students from all three streams of Classes XI and XII participated in a week-long internship programme from 20.05.2024 to 25.05.2024 at Future Hope, an NGO for underprivileged children. They organised a summer camp for the students there and the activities included the following:

Handkerchief painting, Math using origami, discussion on digital scams, simple Science based experiments (creating a lava lamp and demonstrating colour change due to reaction between acids and bases), beaded jewellery making, non flame cooking, creating a memory board and role play.
