The first phase of the in-person cultural exchange between Ogawa High School, Japan and Sushila Birla Girls’ School and Birla High School, Kolkata took place from 27th July to 3rd August 2024.This exchange between Japan and Kolkata created a dynamic and enriching dialogue between two distinct yet complementary cultures through various avenues such as art, literature, cuisine and education. It was marked by numerous discussions on the difference as well as similarities between the culture and pedagogy of the two countries, visit to various places of historical interest, participation in both academic and co-curricular activities and finally a memorable hi-tea at the official residence of the Consul General of Japan in Kolkata.
