A two-day workshop on Cybersecurity by Mr. Rakshit Tandon was conducted in Vidya Mandir Auditorium.
On 07.11.2025, students of Birla High School for Boys and Sushila Birla Girls' School attended the session, 'Cyber Surakshit' and participated in various activities like poster designing, rap on cyber security, Interview/ Vlog, Capture the Flag- an online quiz on cyber scams among other things.
The objective of creating a Cyber Ambassador Programme in schools is to promote cybersecurity awareness, education and responsible online behaviour among students and the broader school community. This programme involved selecting and training students to become ambassadors or advocates for cybersecurity within their school.
On 08.11.2025 a session with parents of students of the Playgroup to Class VIII ensued from 9:30 am. The session aimed at creating awareness about responsible digital habits and online safety. Mr Tandon discussed data weaponisation and breaches involving Zomato, Ajio and Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail to name a few. Parents were advised against the granting of smartphones to children below the age of thirteen. The session also highlighted on the adverse health issues caused by excessive screen time which could lead to anxiety and dementia. Stress was laid on parental monitoring and discipline in mobile usage. The workshop served as a valuable reminder that awareness and guidance are key to creating a safe and positive digital environment for our children.
