On 15th May 2026, Sushila Birla Girls’ School celebrated the 165th birth anniversary of the extraordinary poet, writer, composer, playwright, philosopher, social reformer and painter, Rabindranath Tagore in the CPA. The students arranged a variety of songs, dances and poems to celebrate the Bard of Bengal in a humble manner. The programme was based on Tagore’s love for seasons and thus the programme was rightfully named ‘Robir Ronge Ritur Utsab’. The programme began with the song ‘Hey Nuton’ sung by the teachers. After this, the narrators, Druhina Dey, Sonakshi Priyadarshi of Class 9A, Shreya Parekh of Class 11C1 and Aarya Agarwal of Class 11S (English Emcee), Drasta Roy and Srijeena Nag of Class 12H , Aritrika  Sil of Class 6C (Bengali Emcee)  took on the proceedings of the show. The students celebrated Tagore’s love for each season: Summer, Monsoon, Autumn, late Autumn, Winter and Spring. Each season had their own dance, song or recitation dedicated to it. The students of Classes 6, 9, 11 and 12 hosted the event and introduced the audience to each of the seasons. For Summer, the students of Class UKG presented a wonderful dance to ‘Daruno Agni Bane Re’. For Monsoon, the students of Classes 6,7 and 8 recited and sung the famous ‘Hridoy Amar Nachere Aajike’. For Autumn, the students of Classes 6, 7 and 8 sang the songs ‘Aamar Nayono Bhulano Ele’ and ‘Megher Kole’. For Late Autumn, the students of Classes 4 and 5 performed a beautiful dance based on the song ‘Himero Raate’. For Winter, Bhabanya Ghosh of Class 8 sang the song ‘Poush Toder Daak Diyeche' beautifully. For Spring, the students of Class 6 danced to three songs: ‘Faagun Hawaye Hawaye’, ‘Aaha Aaji E Basonte’and ‘Aaji Dokhino Duar Khola’. Last, but not the least, Hredoyee Basu from Class 2A sang the song ‘Kothao Amar Hariye Jaoyar Nei Mana’, mellifluously.  The show was concluded by the singing of the national anthem written by Rabindranath Tagore himself. This show helped bring together students and teachers in order to appreciate and pay tribute to the artistry of the one and only Rabindranath Tagore.
