On 24th and 25th September 2024, Sushila Birla Girls’ School organized a ‘Science Fiesta’ in school premises.
Students from Classes II-XI participated in the event. Science was celebrated through a variety of engaging and
interactive activities, designed to make it accessible and fun for students across all age groups. The fiesta enabled
teamwork and cooperation among students. The main purpose of the event was to prove how Physics, Chemistry
and Biology provide us with solutions to improve our daily lives.
The Inauguration of the fiesta on 24th September was followed by a sharing session on India Junior Science
Olympiad, West Bengal Olympiad and innovations in the field of Chemistry by Dr. A. K. Mitra.
It was followed by the launch of computer games along with a demonstration and briefing by the students of
Classes IX and X. The various offstage and onstage activities by Classes II - XI were model of nourishment plate with
detox infusion, origami, fun activities based on mixing marvels,making of 3D models and clay models, toy pedagogy,
making of working models and gamified activities, Connect Four and Escape Room, presentation of research papers,
performance of Science drama on artificial intelligence, designer babies, nano-nightmares and accidental
discoveries. The prize winning models were displayed in the backstage area of the CPA on 25/9/24. A total of 23
models, activities and games were displayed, supported by students' explanations along with Static models. In the
Physics lab, Class VIIIs were involved in the final phase of the Escape Room activity. Anveshika demonstration was
held in the AVR and presentations of Research Papers were done by Class XI.
