Dear Parents,
This is to inform you that Children’s Day will be celebrated in school on Thursday, 14th November 2019.
Please note the reporting and dismissal timings for the students on that day:
Reporting Time:
Nursery – 8:30 am
KG – Class V – 8:15 am
Dismissal Time:
Nursery – 9:55 am
KG – 9:45 am
Class I - 10:05 am
Class II - 10:15 am
Class III - 11:20 am
Class IV - 11:30 am
Class V - 11:40 am
Students may wear coloured clothes to school on Thursday, 14th November 2019.
Please note that the Bulbul Activity Class will not be held on that day.

Dear Parent,
An All – Faith Prayer Meet for the Bulbuls has been organized by the First Calcutta District Association on Tuesday, 12th November 2019 at La Martiniere for Girls, 14 Sarojini Naidu Sarani, Kolkata – 700 017. Your daughter must report to Ms. V. Abhani, at La Martiniere for Girls on Tuesday, 12th November 2019 at 8:15 am in complete Bulbul uniform. Her shoes must be labelled for easy identification.
Please note that attendance is compulsory. Dismissal will be from La Martiniere for Girls at 9:00 am against ID Cards.

Dear Parents,
We are happy to inform you that Project Life Force along with SNEH, the social service unit of SBGS is organizing a blood donation camp on 11th November 2019 in the AVR from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. We would be delighted if you volunteer to donate blood and thus help to make this noble effort a grand success.
Please note that classes will remain suspended for the students of Class XII on that day. They will come to school as per the timings given to them.
There will be normal classes for all the other students.

Dear Parents,
As you are aware, the Literacy Planet programme has been introduced in our school for the students of K.G to Class V in the month of July. The Word Mania Competition, a part of Literacy Planet, starts on 4th November, 2019.Word building is a fun challenge that involves many different literacy skills.
We hereby, request you to go through the details of the competition as given below and urge your daughter to participate.
(a) The Word Mania Global Competition dates:
Competition Round – 4th November, 2019 to 8th November, 2019.
Final Round – 12th November, 2019 to 14th November, 2019.(b) The Word Mania App is supported on the following devices:
• iPhone (SE/6 or higher), iPad (3 or higher), iPad Mini (2 or higher) with iOS 9.1 or higher.
• Android 4.4 or above with a screen of 720p or higher.
(c) Steps to play:
• Click ‘Start’ on the Word Mania game and there is a three-second countdown before a board of 15 randomly generated letters is revealed and the three-minute countdown starts.
• Drag letters into the word dock and arrange or rearrange them to create words.
• Click ‘Mark’ to score each word.
• Drag letters out of the dock to remove them, or press ‘Clear’ to start again.
• At the end of each three-minute game, players receive a game score and number of valid words built.

Dear Parent,
Here is the menu for the month of November and December 2019. Please follow it from Monday, 04.11.2019.
MONDAY ● Spinach Corn cheese sandwich, dry peanut chikki and strawberries.
TUESDAY ● Carrot idli, oranges and almonds.
WEDNESDAY ● Vegetable Daliya, apple , peanuts.
THURSDAY ● Paneer peas cutlets, almond and raisin, banana.
FRIDAY ● Bajra onion uttapam, fruit salad and dates.
N.B.
• Nuts are healthy and may be added to your daughter’s tiffin every day.
• Minimum oil should be used.
• The quantity of the food packed should be appropriate to the appetite of your child.
• A napkin must be brought daily to school.
• Do not send packaged food items like chips and Kurkure. Home-made chips or popcorn are better substitutes.
