University Fair

Sushila Birla Girls' School successfully organised the 5th edition of the University Fair on 13th July 2026, bringing together 55 national and international universities under one roof. The event was attended by approximately 600 students and parents from Sushila Birla Girls' School, Birla High School and Birla High School, Mukundapur, representing Classes XI and XII.

Rabindra Jayanti Celebration

On 15th May 2026, Sushila Birla Girls’ School celebrated the 165th birth anniversary of the extraordinary poet, writer, composer, playwright, philosopher, social reformer and painter, Rabindranath Tagore in the CPA. The students arranged a variety of songs, dances and poems to celebrate the Bard of Bengal in a humble manner. The programme was based on Tagore’s love for seasons and thus the programme was rightfully named ‘Robir Ronge Ritur Utsab’. The programme began with the song ‘Hey Nuton’ sung by the teachers.

Summer School Fair 2026

Sushila Birla Girls' School organised the Summer School Fair 2026 on 8th May 2026 for the students of Classes XI and XII with the aim of creating awareness about residential summer school opportunities offered by universities.

Annual Prize Day – Primary Section

The Annual Prize Day for the Primary Section for the academic session 2025-2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride on 20th March 2026. The event recognized the hard work, dedication and achievements of students from Nursery to Class V.

The programme commenced with a vibrant cultural segment centered around the theme ‘The Power of Dreams.’ 

First Aid Training Session

On 27th February 2026, First Aid training was conducted under the aegis of the Charnock Hospital under the guidance of Dr. Saima Nasreen. Basic life-saving techniques and emergency care were demonstrated by the facilitators,guiding participants on how to respond effectively during medical emergencies, emphasising the importance of immediate assistance before professional help arrives.

A-tishoo! The Ladybird’s Adventure

On Wednesday, 11th March 2026, the Playgroup students of Sushila Birla Girls’ School presented a delightful concert titled ‘A-tishoo! The Ladybird’s Adventure’. 

Through music, movement and expressive storytelling, the young performers brought to life the journey of a little ladybird who learns that success does not come at the first attempt, but through determination and belief in oneself. 

Parents and grandparents were delighted to watch the performance and cheered the children with great pride.

Annual SDG Exihibition "Imagine.innovate, Impact"

On Friday, 30.01.26, Sushila Birla Girls’ School truly nailed it with ‘Imagine, Innovate, Impact’ their exhibition on the Sustainable Development Goals. ‘Promise for a better tomorrow’ was the underlying spirit where the students of Classes III, IV and V showcased creative models, charts and posters thoughtfully incorporating all 17 SDGs, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of the global goals.

Republic Day

Republic Day, celebrated on 26th January every year, marks a significant milestone in India’s history as it honours the day the Constitution came into force in 1950, transforming the nation into a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. 

Annual Sports Day (2025-2026)

Annual Sports Day was held on 22nd December 2025 at the Geetanjali Stadium. The sports day stands as a powerful testimony to the unyielding commitment, resilience and grit demonstrated by both the students and the teachers. Mr. Yeilwad Shrikant Jagannathrao, an officer of the Indian Police Service (IPS) from the 2015 Batch, West Bengal Cadre was the Chief Guest and other dignitaries included, Guest of Honour Maj. Gen. Chaturvedi Secretary General Vidya Mandir Society, Col. Bera Deputy Secretary Vidya Mandir, Principal Mrs K. Dey, Dean of Academics Mrs V. Panja, Headmistress Mrs N. Sen.
