On 10 August 2026, Class IV students celebrated Maitreyi with friends from NGOs ‘Pathchala’ and ‘Shumpun Foundation’ through cultural performances, shared activities, T-shirt painting and inclusive games. A morning of friendship and participation, Maitreyi
reflected SBGS’ commitment to nurturing empathy, inclusion and respect from an early age.

Convergence 2026

Sushila Birla Girls' School hosted Convergence 2026, the third edition, on 31st July and 1st August on the school premises and Vidya Mandir Auditorium. Fourteen schools from the city participated enthusiastically in 27 events onstage, submission and offstage. Renowned luminaries who were judges for the various events were hard pressed to choose the winners in each category as the excellence exhibited by each team was exemplary. The host school chose to participate but not compete in the fest.

First Aid Training

On 3rd August 2026, a First Aid training session was conducted for students of Class 11 under the guidance of Dr. Saima Nasreen from Charnock Hospital. The facilitators demonstrated basic life-saving techniques and emergency care, guiding students on how to respond effectively during various medical emergencies such as choking, burns and electrocution. This session emphasised on the importance of providing immediate assistance before professional help arrives, thereby increasing the survival chances of victims. Dr.

PRIMARY INVESTITURE 26-27

The Primary Investiture Ceremony (2026–27) at SBGS was a proud milestone as young leaders stepped into positions of responsibility. The Chief Guest, Ms. Archana Mantri, Principal of Kangaroo Kids, inspired the members of the Junior Council with her encouraging words, urging them to embrace their responsibilities simultaneously maintaining a healthy balance between leadership and academics. In the presence of proud parents and the four Housemistresses, the students solemnly took their oath as House Representatives and Prefects.

University Fair

Sushila Birla Girls' School successfully organised the 5th edition of the University Fair on 13th July 2026, bringing together 55 national and international universities under one roof. The event was attended by approximately 600 students and parents from Sushila Birla Girls' School, Birla High School and Birla High School, Mukundapur, representing Classes XI and XII.

Rabindra Jayanti Celebration

On 15th May 2026, Sushila Birla Girls’ School celebrated the 165th birth anniversary of the extraordinary poet, writer, composer, playwright, philosopher, social reformer and painter, Rabindranath Tagore in the CPA. The students arranged a variety of songs, dances and poems to celebrate the Bard of Bengal in a humble manner. The programme was based on Tagore’s love for seasons and thus the programme was rightfully named ‘Robir Ronge Ritur Utsab’. The programme began with the song ‘Hey Nuton’ sung by the teachers.

Summer School Fair 2026

Sushila Birla Girls' School organised the Summer School Fair 2026 on 8th May 2026 for the students of Classes XI and XII with the aim of creating awareness about residential summer school opportunities offered by universities.

The Annual Prize Day for the Primary Section for the academic session 2025-2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and pride on 20th March 2026. The event recognized the hard work, dedication and achievements of students from Nursery to Class V.

The programme commenced with a vibrant cultural segment centered around the theme ‘The Power of Dreams.’ 

First Aid Training Session
