Lower Nursery Concert

On 11th March 2025, the students of Lower Nursery presented a delightful concert titled ‘The Mystery of the Missing Stripes’. The performance featured a playful and engaging narrative where various animals—bears, giraffes and monkeys—worked together to help Zelda, the zebra, find her missing stripes, deftly stolen by the mischievous tiger, Sher Khan.

Storytelling session

On 20th February 2025, Ms. Shreedevi Sunil, a resource person from Muskaan (Prabha Khaitan Foundation) delivered an unforgettable storytelling session for the students of Upper KG, Class I and Class II. She brought to life lovable animal puppets as she wove enchanting tales that were rich in values and life lessons, captivating the young minds in the audience.

The dynamic storytelling session was lively and interactive where the charming characters sparked the children’s creativity and imagination leaving them with a truly memorable experience.

NURSERY AND KG SPORTS

On 7th February 2025, Pre-Primary students gathered for a thrilling day of novelty races, stepping away from their usual routines to embrace fun and friendly competition. Children from Lower Nursery to Upper Kindergarten eagerly took part in a variety of engaging races designed to encourage physical activity, teamwork and sportsmanship.

 

Visit to the Art Exhibition

The Bengal Biennial Art Exhibition (2024-25) at the Academy of Fine Arts was a spectacular showcase of contemporary art. The objective of the visit was to expose students to various art forms, appreciate the creativity and talent of artists and inspire them to explore their own artistic expression. The exhibition featured a diverse range of artworks including paintings, sculptures, installations and digital art. The exhibits were thought-provoking, visually stunning and demonstrated exceptional skill and craftsmanship.

Nursery Concert

The Earth Keepers – A Magical Performance with a Powerful Message.

Earth was once pristine, but now climate change is threatening its beauty. Ice caps are melting and the weather pattern has become unpredictable.

Alarmed but not hopeless, the ‘Earth Keepers’ of Upper Nursery take prompt action. With compassion and determination, little Santa and his friends work to slow down climate change and restore a white Christmas.

Saraswati Puja 2025

On 3rd February 2025, Saraswati Puja was celebrated with great reverence at Sushila Birla Girls’ School. Students and teachers came together to celebrate Basant Panchami which marks the arrival of spring. Prayers were offered to Goddess Saraswati, seeking her blessings for wisdom, knowledge and success.


The ceremony included the chanting of hymns, the recitation of Saraswati Vandana and the performance of various rituals, creating a serene and spiritual atmosphere. The celebration concluded with the distribution of prasad, spreading joy and devotion among all present.

Republic Day celebration

Republic Day, celebrated on 26th January every year, marks a significant milestone in India’s history as it honours the day the Constitution came into force in 1950, transforming the nation into a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. At Sushila Birla Girls’ School, the festivities commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the national flag by Maj Gen V N Chaturvedi, Secretary General of the Vidya Mandir Society.

SDG Exhibition

On 10th January 2025, an exhibition based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) was organised by Sushila Birla Girls’School. Ms. Lata Bhatia, co-founder of Eco Vent, graced the exhibition with her presence inspiring young minds to strive for a better world.

Annual Sports

On 20th December 2024, Sushila Birla Girls' School organised the Annual Sports Day at Gitanjali Stadium. The meet was declared open by the Chief Guest, Brigadier P. Sunil Kumar, SM, at present posted at HQ Eastern Command at Fort William. Brig P. Sunil Kumar has had an illustrious career, having been awarded Sena Medal for Gallantry, twice. The occasion was also graced by other dignitaries, guests, ex-teachers, parents and students.

Multilingual Literary Fest

On 25th November 2024, Sushila Birla Girls' School organised a Multilingual Literary Fest inaugurated by Principal Mrs K. Dey and Headmistress Mrs V. Panja.

The event included an exhibition of student-created models, illustrations and book covers in English, Hindi, Bengali, German and French followed by a panel discussion by renowned authors on the topic ’Journey of the Creative Impulse: The Change in Reading Habits in the Age of Proliferation of Digital Content.'
