Dear Parents, 

The students of Class V have created a menu for the months of August & September to promote healthy eating habits, keeping in mind the nutritional requirements and taste. Please follow it from Monday 04.08.25.

 Please note:

  • The quantity of the food packed should be appropriate to the appetite of your child.

  • A napkin must be carried to school daily.

  • A fork/ spoon should be carried every day.

  • Packaged food items should not be sent.

  • Minimum oil should be used.

  • It is advisable to give extra tiffin to the students on the days they have afternoon activity.

 

RECIPE OF THE MONTH

 Oats Tikki / Patties

 

1 cup-  oats (lightly roasted)

1/4 Chopped vegetables of your choice- carrot, peas, corn, bell peppers.

2 tbsp ghee/oil for roasting

1 chopped green chilly

 

½ teaspoon chaat masala

chopped coriander leaves, 

2 medium-sized boiled potatoes

2 tablespoon corn flour and salt to taste.

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

  • Grind roasted oats into a coarse texture.

  • Take a bowl and mix all the above ingredients.

  • Shape small tikkis/patties from the mixture.

  • Heat oil or ghee in a non-stick pan and shallow fry the tikkis/patties.

  • Serve the tikkis/patties with chutney or tomato sauce.
