Classes: KG to V and XI & XII

Dear Parents,

Like every year, this year too we will be contributing during the Joy of Giving week. We would like to inform you that Sushila Birla Girls’ School has adopted the village - Jhiling Sereng  and the orphanage Sidho Kanhu in Purulia. The residents of the village and the orphanage deprived of the basic amenities needed for survival.

We will be providing them with a survival kit which will have items of daily use. The Class Teachers will inform their respective students regarding the items to be contributed.

The SNEH members, along with some teachers, will be visiting the villagers personally to hand over the items to them.

We would like to request you to come forward and donate generously for this noble cause.

Classes VI and IX

Dear Parents,

NEP 2020 recommends transforming the assessment system to promote the development of students and suggests a shift from testing rote memorization to competency-based learning. To map progress throughout school years, NEP 2020 proposes an annual school assessment for all students in Grades III, V and VIII.

SAFAL (Structured Assessment For Analyzing Learning) will strengthen the assessment system to promote critical thinking, inquiry-based and analysis-based learning. It will help recognize specific areas where students may require additional support, allowing for targeted intervention and modification of teaching methods or materials based on areas requiring improvement.

We are pleased to inform you that the school has registered for the Pilot project of SAFAL launched by CBSE in the month of March for Classes V and VIII ( currently Classes VI and IX in session 2024-25). It will be conducted in the online mode for Science, Mathematics  and English within school hours.

Kindly note that it is neither a competitive nor a qualifying test. As per the guidelines received from the Board, no extra classes need to be taken and the students do not require any extra preparation for the examination either.

The dates for the SAFAL examinations are as follows:
