What is for lunch today? A question so innocent that it sounds almost harmless…until one is a parent trying to get a child ready for school on time. The kitchen in every household transforms into a high-pressure decision-making centre in the morning. The child tumbles out of bed and with sleepy eyes asks the dreaded question, “What am I getting for lunch today?”
“Anything you like,” says the parent, immediately regretting the answer.
“Anything?”
“Yes.”
“I don’t want anything.”

Young Entrepreneur of the Year Challenge 2026
Event Date: 22-08-2026
Three teams, comprising of 12 students in total, from Class 11 participated in Young Entrepreneur of the Year Challenge 2026 held at Invictus International School in Amritsar. Sixty four schools participated in the event with seventy eight teams from all across the country.
The students of our school received medals and certificates in the following categories:
1. Gold finalists with high potential
2. Gold finalists in the Advanced rounds
3. Silver finalists in the Advanced rounds
Maitreyi 2026

On 10 August 2026, Class IV students celebrated Maitreyi with friends from NGOs ‘Pathchala’ and ‘Shumpun Foundation’ through cultural performances, shared activities, T-shirt painting and inclusive games. A morning of friendship and participation, Maitreyi
reflected SBGS’ commitment to nurturing empathy, inclusion and respect from an early age.
