Sushila Birla Girls' School hosted Convergence 2026, the third edition, on 31st July and 1st August on the school premises and Vidya Mandir Auditorium. Fourteen schools from the city participated enthusiastically in 27 events onstage, submission and offstage. Renowned luminaries who were judges for the various events were hard pressed to choose the winners in each category as the excellence exhibited by each team was exemplary. The host school chose to participate but not compete in the fest.
Field Trip- Wood Studio

A Wood Art & Craft Workshop was organized on 20th May 2026 at The Wood Studio from 11:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for 25 selected students of Classes IX–XII. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Vishal Sikchi, owner of The Wood Studio, and accompanied by Ms. Liptika Mallick Roy and Ms. Parna Mukherjee from the Art Department. The session provided students with practical exposure to different types of wood, their identification through texture and veins, seasoning processes, and their applications in traditional and contemporary design.

Sushila Birla Girls' School secured 2nd position in Earth Cut (Reel Making) organised by The Fellowship for Sustainable Services (FFSS) Club of Sri Sri Academy in Wildframes ROAR 2.0 on 18th July 2026.
The participants were Siddhi Lohia and Nistha Ganguly from XI H.

Meritorious students of Sushila Birla Girls’ School were felicitated by Prabhat Khabar, Hindi newspaper. The felicitation ceremony was held at the National Library on 11.07.2026 where students securing the top 3 positions in SSE 2026 and the top 3 scorers in SSCE 2026 from each stream and eleven other meritorious students were awarded the ‘Pratibha Samman’. Our Principal, Mrs. K. Dey was conferred with the ‘Guru Samman’.

First Aid Training

On 3rd August 2026, a First Aid training session was conducted for students of Class 11 under the guidance of Dr. Saima Nasreen from Charnock Hospital. The facilitators demonstrated basic life-saving techniques and emergency care, guiding students on how to respond effectively during various medical emergencies such as choking, burns and electrocution. This session emphasised on the importance of providing immediate assistance before professional help arrives, thereby increasing the survival chances of victims. Dr.

A team of 22 students from Sushila Birla Girls’ School participated in Abhilakshya on 9th July 2026 at Lakshmipat Singhania Academy. The students participated in 4 events and won the following accolades:
1st position – SDG Social Buzz (reel making) secured by Palak Surana and Aritri Nandi of Class 10C.
2ND position – Earth Speak (Mime, Chorus and Narrative based on SDG ideas).
