    Nursery

    As you are aware, our Nursery Sports are scheduled to be held on Friday, 02nd February, 2018 at 3 pm.  Please make a note of the following:

    • Reporting time for students is 2:15 pm.
    • Children should report to school in their respective costumes and school shoes should be worn. Hair should be neatly pinned / tied.
    • Students should carry their water bottles only.
    • Dismissal will be against I.D. cards only after the sports are over (around 4pm).

    Classes I - V

    Dear Parents,

    Like previous years, this year too Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata is organizing a Sit and Draw competition for school children.

    Date :         Saturday, 3rd February 2018

    Venue :      Birla Academy of Art and Culture

                       108 & 109 Southern Avenue

                       Kolkata – 700 029

    Group I      -        5 to 6 years

    Group II     -        6+ to 9 years

    Group III    -        9+ to 12 years

    Students who are interested in participating in the above mentioned competition should collect the forms from Ms. Sethi in the school office (primary) during the break.

    Duly filled forms have to be signed by the Headmistress and submitted to Birla Academy of Art and Culture by parents. Last date of submission of forms at Birla Academy is Thursday, 1st February 2018.

    Please make a note of the following in regard to the competition

    • Only drawing sheets (15”x10”) will be provided. Participants are to carry other necessary materials.
    • Any medium may be chosen except oil colour.
    • Subject of competition will be announced on the spot.
    • No teacher from our school will be present at the venue. Parents are to accompany their wards.

    Classes – III, IV & V

    Dear Parents,

    As you may be aware, we at Sushila Birla Girls’ School have always walked that extra mile towards imbibing in our students the correct value system. We undertake various activities to sensitize the students to different social issues, and celebration of Grandparents’ Day is one such initiative.  

    Grandparents play a vital role in the lives of their grandchildren. We do hope that at the end of this very special day our students will value the presence of grandparents in their lives more than ever before.

    It gives us great pleasure to invite the grandparents to celebrate this special day with us on Friday, 23rd February 2018.

    A team comprising a grandparent and granddaughter may participate in the fun-filled activities planned specially for them.

    Do confirm your participation by filling up the attached slip and submit it to the class teacher by Monday, 29th January 2018.

    Given below are the events planned for each class

    Class III                      –          Mystery Box challenge – A craft based competition

    Class IV                      –          Power of a minute – A test of mental & physical agility

    Class V                       –         Way to Wellness - Non flame cooking

    Classes III, IV & V      –          Fun Quiz

    Please note that we can accept only a limited number of participants for each event, so please send in your confirmation at the earliest.
