Introduction

As a third grader, I used to think how all the adults had everything figured out. Now I realize they just hide their panic really well. Teenage-the prequel to adulting. We are constantly told that we are the future, and frankly, we're not sure how we feel about that responsibility. Navigating through life as a teenager is definitely hard, especially in a world like ours. Most of us drown ourselves in the endless loop of scrolling through any social media, also known as doom scrolling, or have a unique passion we become obsessed with.

When it comes to common passions, one that resonates with numerous people is the love towards music. Music is a universal language that intertwines people across cultures, emotions, and experiences. It acts as a binding element that brings together disparate individuals. Music can break down barriers, create bonds, and foster a sense of community. It is the sound of hearts that connects one to another, even if for a small stipulated time. 

I still vividly remember the day my friend dragged me to the auditions just because she didn’t want to be alone in the crowd. And even though I despised crowds, I went along because I got to skip math, I mean what’s better than that? So, I went with her and oh, the number of people in the CPA. But none of that mattered. We calmly sat through the entire prep given by the directors, and then we were handed scripts to audition. I really didn’t want to do it, but I’m so glad I mustered up the courage and did.

I have always been passionate about dreaming to a fault, so much, so that sometimes it seems to burn through me and consume my essence. These are the very dreams that stir the ghosts of ancient tragedies into living, as they witness the legacy of the human race.
