  • K.G. – Class II

    Dear Parents,

We, at Sushila Birla Girls’ School, have always worked towards supporting the well being of our students. The heavy weight of the school bag is, therefore, a matter of concern for the school as well as the parents.

Certain suggestions were offered by some of the parents and teachers during a meeting in this regard. The following measures might prove to be beneficial to the students:

    •     Textbooks can be shared by a pair of students.

    •     Children are allowed to leave some of the books in their classrooms.

    •     Children can photocopy the chapter being done in class and bring the same instead of the whole book.

    •     Children can bring a separate hand bag so that the weight of the bag is divided.

    •     Encourage children to drink water from the school to avoid carrying heavy water bottles.

    •     Children should strictly abide by the time table.

    •     Children should not carry heavy pencil pouches, tiffin boxes etc. to school.

If all or even some of the above can be followed, we are sure it will reduce the weight of the bag.

    Yours truly,

    Mrs. V. Panja
    Headmistress

  • Classes III - V

    Dear Parents,

In order to encourage children to develop strong reading habits, we at Sushila Birla Girls’ School have organized a two day workshop in collaboration with Ahava Communications.

The workshop will consist of various interactive sessions regarding the lives and works of authors like Charles Dickens, Ruskin Bond, Roald Dahl and the different stages of how a book comes into being.

The aim of this workshop is to develop the students’ listening and comprehension skills and enhance their vocabulary and power of expression. Group activities to help students express themselves freely with confidence, ease and enthusiasm will also be conducted during the course of the workshop.

Students interested in participating in the above mentioned workshop should submit the fee mentioned below to their respective class teachers by Wednesday, 10th July 2019. The money should be sent in a sealed envelope with the child’s name, class and amount mentioned on it.

Please note, that only the first 50 students who submit the fee will be accommodated in the workshop.
