    Dear Parents,

    We are organizing National Astronomy Challenge 2018 in our school on 1st December 2018.

    This challenge entails an hour long exam in MCQ format.  On completion of the registration process, the students will be provided with a login ID and a password for access to the study material for the exam. For further details you may login to https://www.nac2018.org

    The above test is optional and interested students may register for the same.  The registration fee is Rs.520/- only. Please send the registration fee in a sealed envelope with the name of the student, class and  section  to your daughter’s Class Teacher by Monday 19th November 2018.

    Tinkerfest 2018, a festival of creativity and innovation for school students is being organized by Makers Loft at The Newtown School, Kolkata on 24th and 25th November, 2018.

    It is a tech fest for school students  which  offers workshops, competitions and an exhibition for the students.  Renowned experts from Microsoft, SciKnow Tech and Gamitronics will be conducting workshops and eminent speakers will be addressing students, teachers and parents on game designing, robotics and related fields.

    Bulbuls

    Dear Parent,

    An All – Faith Prayer Meet for the Bulbuls has been organized by the First Calcutta District Association on the occasion of Guru Nanak’s Birthday on Friday, 23rd November 2018 at St. James School, 165 AJC Bose Road, Kolkata- 700014.

    Your daughter must report at St. James School on Friday, 23rd November 2018 by 8:30 am in complete Bulbul uniform. She should carry a small mat to sit on and her shoes must be labelled for easy identification.

    Please note that attendance is compulsory. Dismissal will be from St. James School at 9:30 am against ID Cards.

    Classes VI – XII

    Dear Parents,

    This is to inform you that we will start Sports Practice in the Maidan from Thursday 15th November.  This year too we will practise at the grounds outside Parsi Club.  The timings will be from 6:15 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.

    All Houses will practise together on the following dates :

    15th, 16th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 26th , 27, 28th, 29th, 30th November and 

    3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th December 2018.

    The above schedule is to be strictly followed by all concerned.  However, on some of these dates, students of Classes VI and VII have reviews and they may therefore, opt not to go for the practice.

    Should you receive any verbal intimation regarding the above you are requested to ignore the same.  All information regarding Maidan practice will reach you via a notice on the school website.

    During practice our teachers will be on duty as well as our security staff.  However, we would also welcome help from parents.  If you are interested please inform us through a note in your daughter’s diary.
