Dear Parent,
Daan Utsav, India’s “festival of giving”, is celebrated every year from 2nd – 8th October. Millions of Indians from all walks of life, come together during this week to give their time, money and resources to society in some form or the other.
We at Sushila Birla Girls’ School will also be participating in this programme.
The students of Class III have decided to contribute towards the cost of groceries, toiletries and bedsheets to the Indian Society for Rehabilitation of Children, 9B Lake View Road. Kolkata – 700 029.
A few students along with their teachers and some parents will visit the Indian Society for Rehabilitation of Children on Wednesday, 13thSeptember 2017 to hand over the above mentioned items.
Kindly send Rs. 150/- in a sealed envelope to your daughter’s class teacher towards the cost of the above by Monday, 21st August 2017.

The students of Class II have decided to contribute towards the cost of bedsheet rolls, washing powder & washing soap to Missionaries of Charity, Nirmala Shishu Bhawan, 74/1 AJC Bose Road. Kolkata – 700 016.
A few students along with their teachers and some parents will visit Missionaries of Charity, Nirmala Shishu Bhawan on Saturday, 9th September 2017 to hand over the above mentioned items.
Kindly send Rs. 150/- in a sealed envelope to your daughter’s class teacher towards the cost of the above by Monday, 21st August 2017.

The students of Class I have decided to contribute towards the cost of a ceiling fan, a blackboard, soft boards, a steel cupboard, fruits and tetra packs of fruit juice, which will be gifted to Kolkata Vidya Socio Cultural Centre, 31 Linton Street, Kolkata – 700 014.
A few students along with their teachers and some parents will visit Kolkata Vidya Socio Cultural Centre on Saturday, 16th September 2017 to hand over the above mentioned items.
Kindly send Rs. 150/- in a sealed envelope to your daughter’s class teacher towards the cost of the above by Monday, 21st August 2017.

‘Daan Utsav’, India’s festival of giving, is celebrated every year from 2nd to 8th October 2017. Like previous years, this year too we would be extending our support to some of the city based organizations in the form of stationery items, grocery, sports goods,umbrellas, school bags, health drinks, dining chairs, educational toys, plastic indoor games and other requirements as requested by the organizations.
In this regard we would request you to kindly contribute Rs. 150/- by the 12th of September 2017, to make this endeavour a success.
