Classes VI – X

Dear Parents,

This is to inform you of two different French competitions, organized by Prayatna Educational Society in collaboration with Quebec Government Office, Mumbai and Alliance Francaise de Rouen, France will be held in school, tentatively in the first week of August. The competitions are for Classes VI - X.

The two competitions will be as follows:

1. French Word Power - This competition is organized in collaboration with Quebec Government Office, Mumbai. It is based on vocabulary, spelling and a quiz on Quebec.
2. Concours Romain Rolland - This competition is organized in collaboration with Alliance Francaise de Rouen, France. It is a language based test focusing on comprehension, grammar and culture.

The state-level competition will take place in August. The students scoring above 50% will qualify for the National level competition which will be held later this year.

The levels are bifurcated as per the classes:

Class VI - Level A1.1

Class VII - Level A1

Class VIII - Level A2.1

Class IX - Level A2

Class X - Level B1.1

Highlights:

1. Pen and paper test to be conducted in school.
2. Content complements the school curriculum.
3. Level-wise preparatory booklets with QR codes for video lessons.
4. State level - globally valid hardcopy certificates for all participants and medals for 1st three winners at each level.
5. National level - globally valid hardcopy certificates for all participants, medals and cash prizes for outstanding performances at every level.
6. Students can participate in one or both competitions.

Exam fee:

Rs 580/- (all inclusive) per student per competition.

Please submit a demand draft of the said amount in favour of “SUSHILA BIRLA GIRLS’ SCHOOL” at HDFC Bank Ltd. 11, Dr. U.N.Brahmachari Street, Kolkata 700017.

Study Material:

Study booklets which include mock test and QR codes will be given to students.

They will only be given to students who register for the competition.

Interested students are requested to submit the filled up attached consent form, along with a demand draft of Rs.580/- to Ms. Namrata Ghosh by Friday, 30th June 2023.
