Republic Day, celebrated each year on 26th January, is a momentous occasion in the history of India. It marks the day when the Constitution of India came into effect in 1950, transforming the nation into a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. The red letter day in Sushila Birla Girls' School commenced with the unfurling of the national flag by Colonel T.R.Bera, the Deputy Secretary General, Vidya Mandir  Society. This was followed by the singing of patriotic songs and the national anthem, instilling a sense of unity and patriotism amongst all.
