Earth Day

22nd April, 2021, the 51st anniversary of Earth Day, was celebrated by the students of the primary section with utmost enthusiasm. The Nursery students made green trees using the fingerprinting technique and the Kindergarten students planted seeds, made bird feeders and paper bags.

The little environmentalists of Class I crafted beautiful pencil holders reusing old plastic bottles while those of Class II made badges resonating with the theme and pledged to use their planet’s valuable resources wisely. They also learnt dances on songs related to Mother Nature.  Students of Class III recycled old newspapers into packets and potted plants.

Artistic posters on saving the environment were made by the Class IV students. The students of Class V engaged in activities closely aligned with many of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. They sang songs to create environmental awareness, made colourful signages out of recycled materials and relished the nutritious wheat grass juice that they themselves had harvested.
