Saraswati Puja 2022

The students of the primary section of Sushila Birla Girls’ School celebrated Saraswati Puja with great devotion. Due to the pandemic, the students could not attend the puja organised in school, but this failed to dampen their spirit as they celebrated the festival virtually through a colourful programme with their classmates.

Draped in yellow sarees, symbolising ‘Vasant Panchami’, the students chanted ‘Shlokas’ and worshipped the goddess. They sang the Saraswati Vandana and prayer songs as well as danced to various hymns in praise of the goddess of knowledge.

The teachers spoke to the students about the importance of education and encouraged them to respect their books, musical instruments and all other tools needed for learning.

On this auspicious day, a serene ambience was created by the little devotees with artistic ‘alpanas’, the sound of conch shells, the chants of sacred mantras and melodious devotional songs.
