2nd May, 2021 marked the birth centenary of Satyajit Ray, an author, illustrator, film director, music composer and graphic designer par excellence. On this occasion, the students of Sushila Birla Girls' School organized a programme to pay tribute to this legend. Students from Classes VI to X expressed their admiration for Ray's many contributions to Bengali culture through a short presentation. His versatility was showcased through reading sessions based on his work, creation of posters of his iconic films, giving alternative endings to some of his short stories and presentation of dialogues of some of his memorable characters. The students also presented an enthralling rendition of the signature tune of his 'Feluda' movies and choreographed a dance based on music from the film 'Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne'.
