    Dear Parents,

    Good health is a result of healthy eating habits. Keeping in mind the nutritional requirements the students of Class V have created a menu for the month of February.

    • Veg grilled sandwich (use multigrain bread, cottage cheese and veggies as filling)

    • A tasty snack, which contains a high amount of calcium.

    TUESDAY

    • Homemade pancakes with wheat flour, jaggery / brown sugar powder and milk
    • Roasted puffed rice tempered with mustard seeds and curry leaves
    • Dry fruits
    • Rich in protein & calcium.

     

     

    • Low in calories & great source of fibre.
    • Promote healthy skin and boost the immune system.

    WEDNESDAY

    • Vermicelli noodles
    • ‘Gond’ / puffed rice laddu
    • Strawberries / Blueberries
    • A good source of energy.
    • Boosts immunity & stamina.
    • Tasty and maintain eye health.

    THURSDAY

    • Palak paratha / methi thepla

     

    • Corn chaat (cooked in butter & herbs)
    • Gajak / groundnut chikki
    • Rich source of iron and provides roughage.
    • A flavourful and satisfying snack.
    • A tasty & healthy dessert to end your meal.

     

     

    FRIDAY

    • Millet dosa

     

    • Carrot Halwa
    • Sweet potato chaat
    • They are nutritious and gluten free.
    • Rich in fats & keeps us warm.
    • They are good for a healthy digestive system.

     

    Please note:

    • The quantity of the food packed should be appropriate to the appetite of your child.
    • A napkin must be carried to school daily.
    • Fork/ spoon should be carried every day.
    • Packaged food items should not be sent.
    • Minimum oil should be used.
    • It is advisable to give extra tiffin to the students on club activity days.

    RECIPE OF THE MONTH –

    MILLET DOSA

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 cups Foxtail millet                  

     ½ cup  Urad dal

    1 tbsp methi seeds

    ¼ cups of water

    Salt as per taste

     

    PROCEDURE:

    • Wash and rinse dal and millet.
    • Add some water and soak for 6 – 7 hrs.
    • Grind the mixture into a fine batter and add salt.
    • Mix the batter well for a minute or two.
    • Cover with a plate and let it rest overnight.
    • Spread the batter over a non – stick pan in the shape of a dosa and add some oil.
    • A mouth-watering, healthy and nutritious meal is ready to be served.

    Dear Parents,

    Please note that the Summer Vacation for the students of  Nursery to Class XII for the session 2024-25 will be as follows:

    Classes Nursery to VIII    -   9th May to 17th June 2024 (both days inclusive)

    Classes IX – XII               -   16th May to 17th June 2024 (both days inclusive)

  • Classes III – V

    Dear Parents,

    You will be happy to know that the students of Classes III – V will be taken for a picnic to Divine Resort, near Shibalaya, Duttapukur, West Bengal - 743248 on Friday 2nd February 2024.

    An amount of Rs.650/- will be collected from the students towards the cost of transport, venue and food.  The said amount is to be transferred through Campus Care.  Steps to transfer the said amount are as follows:

    • Log in to campus care using the parent id i.e the id that starts with PG.

    • After logging in, you will see a message ‘Participate to an Upcoming Event – Participate Now’.  Click on it.

    • Tick against the amount displayed for School Picnic.

    • Click on ‘Pay’.

    • Check the Terms and Conditions.  Click on ‘Pay’ once again.  You will be taken to the payment portal.

    • Payment may be made either through Net Banking or through Credit Card.

    Kindly make the payment by Saturday, 27th January 2024.

    Your daughter must report to school in coloured clothes by 7:15 am and Dispersal will be from school against the ID card according to the following schedule:

    Class III - 3:30pm               

    Class IV - 3:45 pm

    Class V - 4: 00 pm

    She must carry sufficient drinking water with her.  

    Since all bookings are made on student count, kindly note that the money once deposited cannot be refunded, even if a student is unable to go for the picnic due to ill health or any other reason.

    Kindly sign the permission slip and send the same through your daughter by Monday, 29th January’24.

  • Class II

    Dear Parents,

    This is to inform you that all students of Class II will be taken on a field trip to the Horticulture Garden on Thursday, 1stFebruary 2024. The objective of the field trip is to provide experiential learning and help them understand the diverse plant species.

    The students will be accompanied by 6 teachers.

    Please note that dispersal will take place from school at the scheduled time.

    In anticipation of the traffic congestion likely to be caused by the Unity Rally and other planned rallies, all classes from Nursery to Class XI will be suspended on 22nd January, 2024

    However, Board Practical Examination for Class XII will take place as scheduled on 22nd January, 2024.
