    Dear Parents,

    This is to inform you that the SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) and Art exhibitions by the students of the Primary Section will be held on Friday, 8th March 2024 in the school premises.

    Attendance is compulsory for students of Classes I - V. They must visit both the exhibitions accompanied by their parents.

    Timings for the students of Classes I – V are as follows:

    Sections A & B- 9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

    Sections C & D- 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

    Dear Parents,

    The students of Class V have created a menu for the month of March to promote healthy eating habits, keeping in mind the nutritional requirements and taste. Please follow it from Monday, 04.03.24

    Salted fox nuts

     

     

    Soaked almonds

    Capsicum and tomato are rich in Vitamin A and C, whereas corn is rich in fibre. Cheese makes it tasty.

     

    Fox nuts are low in calories and great alternative to potato chips.

     

    Soaked almonds contain Vitamin E. Almonds are known to promote brain health and are good for our memory.

    Pomegranate

    Methi or fenugreek leaves are rich in fibre and when added to parathas is very tasty and healthy.

    Peanuts are abundant in Vitamin E, zinc, magnesium and great for our skin.

    Great for a healthy heart, pomegranates are also rich sources of Vitamin C.

    Carrot slices

    Peas are rich in Vitamin C and E that helps to strengthen our immune system.

    Popcorn is high in fibre.

    Carrots are good for eye health because they are rich in Vitamin A.

    Jaggery(gur) sandesh

    An excellent way to add winter veggies to our meal. It is loaded with vitamins, minerals and fibre.

    Cucumber is a great source for hydration.

    Jaggery helps to boost energy and provides us with iron.   

     

    Friday

    Pasta cooked in your favourite sauce

    Walnut brownie

     

     Orange

    Pasta is a good source of energy.

     

    Walnut improves brain health. Chocolate helps to boost energy.

    Oranges are a rich source of Vitamin C.

    Please note:

    The quantity of the food packed should be appropriate to the appetite of your child.

    A napkin must be carried to school daily.

    Fork /spoon should be carried every day.

    Packaged food items should not be sent.

    Minimum oil should be used.

    It is advisable to give extra tiffin to the students on club activity days.

    RECIPE OF THE MONTH

    Vegetable cheese grilled sandwich

      • 2 slices of bread (whole wheat / multigrain)

      • 2tbsp finely chopped vegetables – capsicum, tomato, onion,

         coriander leaves

      • 2 tbsp sweet corn kernels 

      • butter 

      • 1 cube - grated cheese

      • As per taste add- oregano, chilli flakes, salt

     

          • Mix the vegetables, add salt, oregano, chilli flakes and finely chopped coriander leaves.

          • Add sweet corn kernels. (The kernels to be washed in warm water)

          • Add 1cube grated processed cheese. Mix well.

          • Butter the slices of bread. Put the filling between two slices of bread.

          • Grill for 3- 4 minutes on a non-stick pan or sandwich griller.

  • Classes III – VIII 

    Dear Parents,

    This is to inform you that the school is introducing Lawn Tennis for a few selected students of Classes IV to IX in the session 2024-25.   The classes will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Calcutta Punjab Club (Lawn Tennis Courts), opposite Ashok Hall Girls Higher Secondary School, 5A Sarat Bose Road, Sreepally, Bhowanipore, Kolkata - 700020.

    The charges for the above will be borne by the school management.

    Should you wish for your daughter to be considered for the same kindly fill the consent form and submit it to her class teacher by 11th March 2024. 

    Also note that final selection of students will be done by professional tennis coaches.

  • Classes VI- IX and XI

    Dear Parents,

    Please make a note of the schedule to be followed in school from 15th February 2024. 

    Students must report to school on the days of their Annual Examinations according to the time-table already provided to them and be picked up at the timings mentioned there. 

    Students need not come to school on the days when no examination or activity is slated.

    13th February 2024                 -           Last working day before the Annual Examinations.

    11th March 2024                      -           Annual Examination answer scripts will be shown to the students of Classes VI – VIII (Full day school).

    12th March 2024                      -           Classes IX and XI will see answer scripts from 8:15 am – 1:30 pm.

    21st  March 2024                     -           Publication of Report Cards online.

    22nd March 2024                     -          Distribution of Report Cards for Classes IX and XI.

    23rd to 31st March  2024          -           Term Break.

    1st April 2024                           -           New Term begins for Classes  VI – X & XII

    Please note that extra classes will be conducted for the students of Classes X and XII (academic session 2024-25) from 13th to 22nd March 2024.
